Bea looked as fragile as a wisp of smoke, a faint trace of weakness etched on her face.
"Colt's been waiting at the door. I'll bring him in now," Marian said as she stepped out to fetch Colt.
Colt entered and stood beside Bea. "Bea, what do you need?"
"I've decided... to use all my savings to buy the ten percent of Burke International shares that Sophie holds."
"Bea..." Colt frowned, troubled.
Wouldn't this leave Bea with nothing? It seemed like a losing deal.
"I've made up my mind. Help me up first."
"...Alright." Colt helped Bea to her feet. She moved slowly to the safe and used her fingerprint to unlock it.
Inside the safe, there was only a key and a card, nothing more.
Bea took the key and card, then said, "Go wait for me downstairs. In half an hour, we'll head to the Vault."
Colt was taken aback. The Vault! A place where the wealthy stored their treasured possessions, from jewelry to property deeds, as long as they paid the hefty yearly fee. The Vault's security was said to rival that of a national treasury—impossible to steal from.
"Is Bea planning to give all her money to Sophie?"
"What else can we do? Do you want Burke International's shares to end up in the hands of strangers?"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
