Elodie looked at Griffin standing before her, momentarily at a loss for words.
She stepped forward to support the unconscious Sophie and said, "That 10% share doesn't mean anything to me. You didn't have to do this. Besides, the Devonport whirlpool is too big. I overestimated myself. Return Sophie to Colby. My dispute with them is over."
Saying this, Elodie reached for her phone to call Gordon.
At that moment, Griffin intercepted her.
"What are you doing? I don't want to fight anymore. Doing these dangerous things for me is pointless."
"It matters," Griffin said, his voice steady and unwavering. "I don't want to see you lose. In my heart, you'll never lose to anyone."
With that, Griffin took Sophie from Elodie's arms and also grabbed her phone.
"Everything that happens next is my decision. Even if it fails, it has nothing to do with you. Also, I've cut the phone line and locked the main door from the inside. Without the code, you can't leave. Just stay here. Within three days, I'll find a way to raise the money. I won't let you return to Harbor City with nothing."
Griffin had been by Elodie's side through her darkest times; he knew how hard she'd fought to get where she was.
He wouldn't let her give up, even if she wanted to.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
