“Kidnapping? Seriously?”
“Come on, it has to be a joke! This is Devonport, who would dare to kidnap Sophie right under Colby’s nose? They’d have to be crazy.”
Jenna mulled it over for a moment. “You’re kinda right…”
But just as she finished her sentence, something clicked. “Wait a minute! You idiot! Have you forgotten who else is in Devonport? Griffin’s a loose cannon; he doesn’t care if Colby kills him. Sophie went out just now to deal with that Reeves International mess!”
“What! Damn it! How could I forget about him?”
Adler, now realizing the severity, started to panic. “What should we do? I’m going to round up some people right now. To the Reeves estate!”
“By the time you figure it out, it’ll be too late! Why aren’t you calling Colby already?”
Jenna was already dialing her phone as she spoke.
Adler, finally catching on, began to call for backup too.
Meanwhile, outside, Angelo and Sandy had just gotten off their flight and couldn’t wait to drag their suitcases into Burke Estate.
“Hey everyone! Guess who’s back!” Angelo announced, laughing heartily with his hands on his hips.
Sandy felt a bit embarrassed and pouted, “Where is everyone? Why isn’t anyone here to welcome us?”
“Yeah, why is the living room so empty? Not a soul in sight. Where did everyone go?”
Angelo was puzzled, but suddenly felt two figures rush past them.
He paused, “Sis, did you feel like two people just walked past us?”
“It seemed... like it, yeah.”

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
