"Come on! Seriously, what’s the deal with you two flaunting your love right now?" Adler couldn't take it anymore.
Colby glanced at Timothy and said, "Keep working."
With that, Colby took Sophie by the hand and headed upstairs.
Adler clenched his teeth. "This couple has zero sense of danger!"
Jenna patted Adler’s shoulder. "Feels like we’re the only ones worried, and they couldn’t care less!"
"Exactly," Adler sighed, shaking his head. "What is up with these people?"
Upstairs, Sophie remarked, "Looks like Mr. Gordon wants to cover for Timothy."
"You noticed?"
Sophie replied, "It's glaringly obvious, I'm not that clueless."
Colby led Sophie into their room. "You're not clueless, neither is anyone else. We're all just playing along with Gordon."
"So, does that mean Timothy is really trouble?"
"Yep."
"What’s Mr. Gordon's game plan? Pretend we know nothing?"
"Exactly," Colby said calmly. "He’s got a bunch of tricks up his sleeve. Probably setting a trap within a trap. If they want Timothy to infiltrate Burke Estate, we’ll just turn the tables and try to win Timothy over."
"How do we do that? Appeal to his emotions? Reason with him? Or…?"
"Everyone has emotions. If they want to use your kind heart to get inside Burke Estate, we won't hold back, right?"
"But... trading sincerity for sincerity... it feels a bit..."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
