Sophie watched Gordon’s serious expression, feeling an unexpected sense of trust growing within her.

"Mr. Gordon, you're always so deceptive... I hardly dare to believe anything anymore," she said.

"Whether you believe or not is your choice. Whether I speak or not is mine," Gordon replied with a slight smile. "So, Ms. Sophie, do you believe or not?"

Anyone else might have had their doubts about Gordon. He was the mastermind, the one person no one could read. Yet, Sophie felt a strange sense of kinship with him. She always claimed she didn't trust him, but deep down, she sensed he had his own agenda. Despite her reservations, she always ended up working with him. "I believe you," Sophie said. "No matter what others think, I trust what Mr. Gordon says."

For a fleeting moment, Gordon’s expression softened, almost imperceptibly. He quickly regained his composure. "Never trust anyone so blindly, even if they are the closest to you," he advised.

"Well, Colby would never lie to me. And Mr. Gordon, you wouldn't either," Sophie insisted.

"Everyone has secrets they can't share. How can you be so sure Colby is completely honest with you?" Gordon asked, looking directly at Sophie. In that moment, he saw the love for Colby in her eyes.

Almost instantly, Gordon felt a pang of jealousy. He looked away and said, "If one day you discover Colby has hidden something from you, don’t be angry or sad. Follow your heart. If you still love him, nothing else matters."

"Mr. Gordon, are you trying to tell me that Colby is hiding something from me?" Sophie asked.

Gordon just smiled faintly and said, "I've said enough for today. The rest is for you to discover. If two people want to walk together until the end, they need to be completely honest. I think... that won’t be a problem for you two."
