The security guard looked Adler up and down and asked, "And who might you be?"
Adler, trying to save face in front of Sophie and Colby, retorted, "Are you blind? Can't you tell who I am? I'm your young master!"
The guard, maintaining his professionalism, responded, "I'm going to need to see some ID."
Adler's temper flared. "ID? To get into my own house?"
"Sorry, I can't just take your word for it. If you were an imposter and I let you in, I'd lose my job," the guard explained earnestly.
Adler dug into his pocket, pulling out a high-end leather wallet and waving it around. "See this? Designer wallet. Costs a fortune."
He opened the wallet, revealing a stack of credit and bank cards. "See? My credit cards and bank cards! Does an average person have this many?"
Still unfazed, the guard repeated, "I'm going to need to see some ID."
"So you're saying you won't let me in because I don't have my ID on me?" Adler fumed.
Seeing the commotion, Jenna quickly got out of the car and walked up to Adler's side, shoving an ID card into the guard's hand. "There, now open the gate!"
The guard carefully compared Adler's face to the photo on the ID, then took out a device, surprising both Adler and Jenna.
With a serious demeanor, the guard swiped the ID card through the device to verify its authenticity. Once satisfied, he stepped aside and said, "Young master, miss, please come in."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
