Sophie spoke up, "Mr. Adler, you seem a bit out of place here."
"That's because I'm calm and collected! I'm a modern, progressive young man!"

Adler led the three of them through the grand entrance of the Tredgold family home.
Inside, a maid was busy tidying up. The place looked like a sprawling museum, filled with priceless artifacts. Sophie glanced around, quickly estimating that these items were all genuine, seven-figure treasures. From porcelain to ornaments, everything was over a century old—luxuries that, back in the day, only royalty and nobility could afford.
Yet, here Adler’s father had all these treasures out in the open.
He must really not be worried about thieves.
As Sophie marveled at the collection, she noticed one wall adorned with an array of rare and exotic stones. High-quality jade and gems were among them, along with many she had never seen before.
Just as she was about to take a closer look, Adler’s father emerged from the collection room.
"You..."
Wesley frowned. Even though he was over fifty, Adler's father was tall and well-built, his features still retaining a hint of the handsomeness of his youth.
"Father, this is Sophie, this is Colby, and this is Jenna. You've met them before."
Adler introduced the group.
Wesley didn’t even glance at Adler but said coldly, "I know, the famous Mr. Colby, and Ms. Sophie, Ms. Jenna from S Corporation."
With that, he created a palpable distance between them.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
