Ricardo looked like he'd been hit where it hurt, glaring at Adler, who didn’t even flinch. “Mr. Ricardo, you need to realize your situation. We're being generous by letting you stay here for a chat. If we were heartless, we'd force you to repay your debts, and you'd be considering jumping off a building by now!”
“Why do you talk so much?” Jenna cut in. “Can’t you just shut up?”
As soon as Jenna spoke, Adler promptly zipped his lips.
Sophie, who was watching Timothy busy in the kitchen, said, “Timothy, please take Mr. Ricardo upstairs. Show him to the guest room at the end of the hallway; he likes his privacy.”
“Yes, Ms. Sophie.”
As Timothy walked over, the marks from Sophie’s previous reprimand were still visible on his neck. Odie noticed and instantly understood that Sophie was just finding a reason to send Timothy away.
Once Timothy and Ricardo were upstairs, Sophie turned to Adler. “Mr. Adler, the ledger.”
Adler spread his hands, remaining silent.
Jenna frowned. “Where’s the ledger?”
“You told me not to talk, remember?”
“Are you looking for a slap?”
Seeing Jenna about to raise her hand, Adler quickly said, “The ledger’s in your bag! You forgot!”
“...” Realizing her mistake, Jenna sheepishly pulled the ledger from her bag, apologizing, “Sorry, got so caught up in the story, I forgot.”

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
