Odie murmured, "You and Sophie, neither of you are saints. Even now, you're still trying to make deals with me…"
Outside the casino, the ambulance had already pulled up.
Odie was carefully placed on a stretcher.
Seeing this, Colby turned to Sophie, who stood beside him, and said, "I'll take care of the situation here at the casino. You go with him."
"Alright."
Sophie didn't hesitate for a second.
Colby was the only one who could handle the chaos of an overseas casino. Staying wouldn't help; she'd do better looking after Odie.
The ambulance sped towards the nearest hospital.
Inside, Sophie glanced down at Odie, who lay on the stretcher, covered in blood. He was a mess of wounds, practically a walking disaster, his appearance downright alarming.
"Why are your eyes still red? Sophie, you're hopeless. I haven't even cried out."
Odie kept on with his trivial comments from the stretcher.
Sophie shot him a glare and snapped, "My eyes are red from the wind! Do you have any idea how long it took us to find you? Couldn't you have left us some clues when you got caught? Odie! I used to think you were just foolish, but now I see you're completely clueless!"
"I wasn't caught; I went of my own free will."
Hearing that, Sophie's expression darkened even more: "Willingly... and you're proud of that? I...!"
A nurse nearby quickly chimed in, "Please, let's keep calm. Don't upset the patient."
"Considering you're practically at death's door, I'll let it slide. We'll settle this once you're back on your feet!" Sophie said, her teeth clenched.
Odie finally gave in, exhausted, and closed his eyes, "Let's discuss it if I wake up."
Hearing Odie's ominous words, Sophie felt the urge to smack him.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
