Kena set a bowl of warm bread pudding in front of Sandy with a friendly smile. "I heard you have a soft spot for desserts like this back home, so I thought I'd whip some up. Hope it hits the spot."
Sandy's sweet tooth was definitely tempted, but she hesitated, knowing it was Kena who brought it. "I just had dinner, so I'm not really hungry. I'll have it later, though."
Kena nodded, a slight frown flickering across his face. "Alright then, I won't keep you from your rest."
"Thanks," Sandy replied, eager for Kena to leave. Once she was sure he was gone, she eyed the bread pudding suspiciously.
After a bit of an internal debate, she decided not to eat it. She couldn't shake the feeling of uncertainty about Kena—was he a friend or foe? What if the dessert was laced with something sinister?
Meanwhile, across the ocean, Sophie had wrapped up her business dealings, dismantling Kiran's network bit by bit with the Costello Group's help. While she hadn't completely wiped them out, several key players from the Pollard family had switched sides to join her.
With everything in place, Sophie anonymously sent a video to Kiran's email. The footage showed Sandy being kidnapped, taken from the Pearl Hotel right up to the back door of the Gibbs family estate, and then it cut off sharply.
Sophie leaned back in the CEO's chair at Costello Corporation, curious to see how Kiran would react to this revelation. She also wanted to confirm a nagging suspicion she had.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free.
