Sophie couldn't help but find the whole situation downright laughable.
How on earth could anyone who did such despicable things ever be hailed as a hero of their time? And how could they have the nerve to claim they were saving humanity?
They weren't saving anyone but themselves, securing their own endless fortune.
“Caelum, how's Reece doing these days?”
When Sophie brought up Reece, Caelum replied, “His injuries aren't too bad. With a few days of good rest, he'll be back to normal. I'll have the butler take you to him.”
“Alright.”
Sophie had a laundry list of questions for Reece.
The butler led her upstairs. Reece's room was tucked away in a corner on the second floor. Sophie opened the door and saw Reece laid up in bed. He glanced her way and said, “I knew you'd show up today.”
A faint smile crept across Reece's face.
“You can still crack a smile despite being banged up like this?”
Sophie sat down next to him. “How're you holding up? Feeling okay?”
Reece nodded.
“Who was it that attacked you?”
“Some guy in a mask and black cloak.”
“The Silent Shadows?”
“Yeah.”

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
