Sophie chimed in, "I'll give you ten minutes to process everything I've just laid out. If you don't start talking by then, I'll assume your brain's a lost cause. And if that's the case, I'll have to hand you over to this gentleman here. Trust me, he won't be as patient or persuasive as I am. When your own flesh and blood is on the line, you'll see whether your so-called savior turns up."
Sophie's glare and tone already gave Spencer the verdict.
The verdict was clear: they wouldn't.
The world is brimming with people in misery; a savior won't spare you a glance.
Choking back tears, Spencer began slowly, "About six months back... my family went under, my dad got sick, and all those relatives and friends who used to be close to us disappeared. I was left with no choice but to work at a nightclub to make ends meet."
Sophie asked, "So you were overseas then?"
"Yeah, my family, the Starks, were overseas. We weren't celebrities or anything, but we were pretty well-off entrepreneurs. My dad even sent me to the best schools abroad. Then out of nowhere, he tells me we're bankrupt."
Spencer's face twisted with bitterness at this point.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
