Even if the enemy was so powerful that they could only hope to catch a glimpse of their back.

Outside, Odie stood in front of Sophie and Colby's door, still holding the pose of knocking.
His head was lowered, his expression unclear.
Finally, Odie let his hand fall, exhaling deeply before slowly making his way downstairs, leaning on the wall for support.
Odie, you're a broken man.
There's no need to trouble them anymore.
The next morning.
Sophie slowly woke up, instinctively reaching out to the other side of the bed. Realizing Colby wasn’t by her side, she immediately opened her eyes, looked around, then threw off the covers and walked to the side of the bed, continuously calling out, “Colby!”
Downstairs, Colby and Harold were in the living room when they saw Sophie running down in her pajamas, not even bothering to put on shoes.
Seeing this, Colby immediately went upstairs to take off his slippers and put them on Sophie, saying, “Why are you so reckless? Running out without shoes?”
“I didn’t see you, I thought you had...”
Sophie breathed a sigh of relief.
It was indeed the accumulation of recent events.
That led her to worry unnecessarily.
“Did you find him?”
Harold glanced at Jonah, who had just come back from outside. Jonah shook his head, saying, “Not yet.”
“What’s going on?”

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
