Watching the stranger before her, Sophie's eyes darkened.
She had never heard of a person named Jason.
This clearly showed that Reece had always kept her at arm's length.
"Ms. Sophie, I'm here on behalf of Mr. Reece to negotiate with you. The proposal for this shareholders' meeting was initiated by Mr. Reece. As the largest shareholder of S Corporation, Mr. Reece has the right to call this election. Do you have any objections?"
Jason's opening was very formal.
Sophie took her seat at the head of the table and replied, "You don't need to give me these formalities. All the shareholders are already here. Even if I object, would that stop the meeting from happening? It can't be that simple, right?"
"Ms. Sophie, today's election process is straightforward. It's about who is more suitable for the CEO position of S Corporation between Mr. Reece and you."
Jason slowly continued, "I believe everyone here is aware of both your achievements within the company. Since its inception two years ago, Ms. Sophie's visits to S Corporation have been few and far between. Mr. Reece, on the other hand, as a shareholder, has a firm grasp of the company's operations and has also held an indispensable position, bringing considerable benefits to the company. I think Mr. Reece is the best candidate for the CEO position of S Corporation."
"Are you saying that I, Ms. Sophie of S Corporation, am not suitable for the role?"
Sophie's words were laced with aggression. Reece hadn't come in person but had sent an assistant, whose origins were unknown to her.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free.
