Odie's mouth hung open slightly, but he didn't say a word.
"I've replaced the solution with saline. You'll just have to endure it tonight. I know you've only had one injection; there might still be a chance to turn things around. If you don't want to end up dead here, lying flat on your back, then you better fight through this. Don't let Jonah's death be in vain."
After dropping these words, James turned and left Odie's room.
Odie slumped onto the bed, scenes of the first time he met Jonah flashing through his mind, followed by how Jonah had stayed by his side through thick and thin, regardless of the consequences.
If it weren't for him, Jonah wouldn't have had to die.
Meanwhile, at the downtown hospital in the city overseas.
Sandy had been watching over Caelum in the ICU.
Outside the ICU, two bodyguards in black stood vigil by the door.
Even after the surgery was over, these two hadn't let her take a single look at her dad.
"When can I go in?"
Sandy clenched her fists, her eyes reddening.
The bodyguards stood like statues, ignoring Sandy.
"He's my daddy! I need to be with him! Move aside! Let me through!"
Sandy kept swinging her fists, but even with all her might, she couldn't harm the bodyguards at all.
"Sandy! Stop this at once!"
Not far away, Kiran walked up to Sandy, grabbing the fists she was using to hit the bodyguards, and said, "You are the Pollard family's young lady. How could you forget your status?"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
