The teacher was deeply concerned about it.
Later, he pondered over what a father should be like. When he wanted to roughhouse with his dad like other kids, all he received was an indifferent gaze.
His mother had grown accustomed to this, so she often advised him not to seek what's called familial affection from his father.
"Adler? Adler!"
Jenna's voice snapped Adler back to reality.
"Hmm?"
Adler came to his senses, noticing Jenna's frown. "I've been calling you for ages, why didn't you respond?"
Only then did Adler realize that everyone was looking at him with concern.
"I was just thinking that Ms. Elodie made some good points. It even made me start to doubt him."
"Ms. Elodie has already left, what are you daydreaming about?"
Jenna rarely saw Adler lose his composure like this.
Adler replied, "Of course, I wouldn't cover up for my father if he was doing something wrong. I truly think she had a point. Maybe I should go home and check. If he really is the leader of The Silent Shadows, he wouldn't be home tonight. He might even be in the valley."
"Everyone was discussing serious matters, and you were the only one lost in thought, now acting all nonchalant!" Jenna said. "We're not suspecting Mr. Wesley, but Elodie did make some sense. If you really want to go check, I'll accompany you. It's better to have someone to watch your back."
Jenna didn't dare to speak her mind.
She thought if Wesley truly was the leader of The Silent Shadows, then Adler, despite his youth and clever mind, might not be able to overpower Wesley.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
