Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James) novel Chapter 1738
Just a week ago, Sophie and Jenna were having a good laugh about how those two big guys were totally lost trying to handle a baby.
There they were, standing at the doorway, looking a bit dazed, until they caught sight of Sophie making her way down the stairs. Jenna broke the silence first, “Sophie, where’s my little guy?”
“Jenna, what brings you out so soon?” Sophie asked, surprised.
“Ugh, that maternity center was so dull and suffocating, I had to escape!” Jenna replied, already moving around with an energy that belied her recent delivery.
“I really didn't realize how much of a handful having a baby could be. Tell Harold to bring my little munchkin over—I’m beat from the trip.”
Adler helped Jenna settle onto the living room sofa.
Sophie chuckled, “Oh, the baby’s not with Harold anymore.”
Jenna blinked in confusion. “Wait, he’s not with Harold? Then where is he?”
“Harold threw in the towel after just three days. Colby’s on baby duty now. He just got the little one to sleep. I’ll have him bring the baby down.”
With that, Sophie dashed upstairs.
Jenna and Adler exchanged bewildered looks, trying to wrap their heads around the fact that Colby was the one babysitting.
Jenna muttered, “Is my son… still in one piece?”
“I’m wondering the same thing…” Adler said with a worried look.
Of all people, why Colby, the one with the fearsome reputation?
When did Colby ever look after a baby? He’s more likely to send them packing!
Soon enough, Sophie and Colby came down the stairs.
Jenna’s eyes zeroed in on the tiny baby nestled in Colby’s arms.
Much to their surprise, the baby was snug and content, not making a peep.
“No way, is he really that chill?” Jenna asked, hardly believing her eyes as she moved closer to check out the baby.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free.
