After months of trying, Sophie and Colby finally got the exciting news they were expecting a baby, just two months after Alec was born. Sophie was taken by surprise, only realizing she was pregnant when her period was a no-show in the second month.
As she stepped out of the hospital, her mind was spinning. Had she really gotten pregnant just six months into her retirement? Reflecting on the recent days of looking after little Alec, Sophie realized that life was about to get a whole lot busier.
"Colby, when do you think... this happened?" Sophie asked, still a bit in shock as she slid into the car. Colby seemed lost in thought, mulling over the same puzzle.
"Was it that day in the car?"
"..."
"Or maybe on the balcony..."
"Colby!" Sophie’s cheeks turned a bright shade of red as she shot him a look. "Just drive!"
Seeing Sophie snap back to her usual self, Colby grinned. "Honey, no matter when this baby came along, it's ours. You can't just deny that."
He said it with a playful whine in his voice, and Sophie gave him a mock glare. "This is all your doing. I wasn’t quite ready yet!"
"Sweetheart, how’s that fair?" Colby chuckled.
Once Sophie had mentioned wanting a baby, they’d ditched all birth control methods. Neither had expected it to happen so quickly. Clearly, this little one was in a rush to join the party.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
