Odie had this incredibly long dream.
After that big showdown, they strolled through a corridor that felt like it was bridging another world.
A strong scent hit his nose, and without warning, he was swept into this dream that felt too perfect to wake from.
In his dream, he and his mom were whisked away overseas by some man. After finishing high school abroad at 18, he came back to Devonport with his mom.
For most folks, Devonport's Eastwood College was like an educational paradise, but for their crowd, it was just another high-end school you could dip in and out of.
Fiona had been acting odd lately, always bugging him about the past.
But there's no way I'd ever spill what I dreamed about.
This dream was mine alone.
If I could, I'd live in that dream forever.
Because in that dream, there's something I never got to say to her.
Words that might never be voiced, tucked deep in my heart until the end of time.
Time rewound like a fast-forwarded movie.
The scenes outside the window kept switching, and Odie snapped back to reality because of his mom's words.
"Mom, you don't have to keep reminding me. It's just school, not a prison sentence."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
