When Sophie heard that Gordon had someone special, her face tightened with anxiety. "Who is she?"
While Sophie was on edge, Gordon just chuckled. "Get some sleep. I’ve got things to handle tomorrow. Just stay home and relax."
Gordon didn’t entertain the topic any longer.
Sophie watched as Gordon headed back to his study.
Rick came over to Sophie and said, "Miss Sophie, Mr. Gordon has a busy schedule ahead."
"Rick, who's the girl my brother's into?"
Rick was taken aback for a moment.
"The girl Mr. Gordon likes?"
"Miss Sophie, why the sudden curiosity?"
"He said he has a crush. How come I didn’t know?"
Sophie’s face was a mix of tension and urgency, desperate to uncover the mystery girl.
Rick sighed, "Miss Sophie, that’s Mr. Gordon’s private affair. I can’t spill the beans without his okay."
"Come on, just tell me on the down-low. I won’t breathe a word to him."
Sophie clung to Rick’s arm, pleading, "Rick..."
"Rick."
From the study, Gordon called out calmly, "Step in."
"Yes, sir."
Reluctantly, Rick let go of Sophie’s hand and said, "Miss Sophie, I've got work to do. Find something to keep yourself busy."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
