Sophie and James returned to their room, where James said, "I'll have someone handle the trending topic online. It won't affect you."
"Aren't you going to ask me about it?"
After all, the photo that was taken of her and Reece was real.
James stared at Sophie and said, "If you want to tell me, you will."
"I don't want to talk about it." Sophie was straightforward with her response.
"Alright."
At that moment, Sophie heard footsteps outside the door. They were light, but she knew that Calla was standing there.
This time, Sophie didn't bother pretending. She opened the door immediately, and Calla, standing at the doorway, was taken aback, probably not expecting Sophie to open the door.
"Mrs. Burke..."
"I'm not fond of people eavesdropping at my door. If it's not something important, please don't come upstairs."
Sophie's words were direct, causing Calla's face to turn red as if bleeding. "I'm sorry, Madam. Grandma Bea was worried you two might argue, so she asked me to check on you. It won't happen again."
"That's good."
Sophie closed the door, and seeing this, James couldn't help but smile faintly.
Sophie frowned. "What are you smiling about?"
"I'm just happy," James said, locking the door behind him. "Because you don't like her."
"Don't flatter yourself. Even if I don't like her, it has nothing to do with you."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
