As Sophie's mind wandered, James suddenly threw himself in front of her, causing her to startle. She only heard the sound of eggs cracking, and when she turned around, she saw those people throwing rotten eggs at her.
James was standing right in front of her.
Sophie was taken aback. "You..."
At the same time, Calla witnessed this scene and immediately rushed out of the room, yelling at the security guards, "What are you waiting for? Get rid of them all!"
"Right away!"
The security guards quickly dispersed the women, who ran away as soon as they saw Calla.
"James..." Calla's face turned sour as she hurriedly checked James' suit, which was now dirty. "I'll go get you a new outfit right away."
"No need." James swept Calla with a cold glance. "I don't want today's incident to happen again."
Calla felt a chill from his gaze. Biting her lip, she said, "I don't understand what you mean, James."
"Let's get in and change," Sophie said, pulling James back to their room.
The commotion at the door had also upset Bea, who looked even more displeased. "What happened?"
"Some of Reece's fans were causing trouble outside." While speaking, Sophie glanced at Calla, then added, "They almost hurt James. But... I'm also curious about how they found our address."
Having been in these circles for decades, Bea knew all too well the tactics of women. She also looked toward Calla, who said somewhat aggrievedly, "Madam, why are you looking at me like that? I had nothing to do with this."
"Enough," Bea said with some impatience. "You take James to change. Calla, come with me."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
