James frowned, his voice ice-cold as he commanded, "Colt, get her out of here."
"Right away!"
Colt had already moved forward, seizing Nichole's arm, but Nichole fought back, shaking off Colt's grip. "Let go!"
Facing James, Nichole mustered all her courage, declaring, "Nobody here can touch me! I'm pregnant, carrying Mr. Burke's child!"
Her voice, neither too loud nor too soft, was enough for everyone around to hear.
Outside the door, some employees peeked in, curious about the commotion inside.
James' expression turned grave at once. This change made them realize the situation might indeed be true.
Nichole stepped closer to James, gently touching her still-flat belly. "James, this is your child. Your first child! Is this really how you want to treat them?"
James clenched his fists at Nichole's defiance.
From Nichole's words, Katy, who had been slumped on the floor, suddenly found her pillar of strength.
In prestigious families, lineage was paramount. Now that Nichole was pregnant, she would definitely become James’ wife.
Katy's nerves relaxed, and her fear dissipated, replaced with a spark of excitement. She was about to become James' mother-in-law! The grandmother of James Burke's child!

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
