Tricia quickly had three bodyguards bring over the three kidnappers.
The three kidnappers were tied up and brought before James, who recognized their faces immediately, his expression turning cold. "You caught them?"
He had people searching the area around the sea for so long without any trace of these three, yet he hadn't realized Sophie's men had already captured them.
"Yeah."
Sophie looked toward Nichole, noticing her face turning pale at the sight of the kidnappers.
Sophie said, "Ms. Nichole has quite the ability. She found these professional hitmen to target me. I'm truly honored."
Hearing Sophie's words, James' gaze fell on Nichole. "It’s you?"
Disbelief filled his eyes.
No matter what, Nichole was a student he had personally mentored. She used to be just a slightly scheming girl, but now, she was involved in hiring hitmen.
As James watched her, Nichole quickly waved her hands and said, "No, this has nothing to do with me. James, listen to me..."
"It was her! She gave us money to kill Mrs. Burke!" One of the kidnappers confessed directly, cutting off Nichole's words.
Nichole glared at the kidnapper, saying, "Who made you frame me like this? I'm just a student. How could I afford to hire you? And how could I even find professionals like you?"
Nichole anxiously grabbed James' arm, saying, "James, you know me. I can't even bear to step on an ant. How could I dare commit murder? I admit, I admit I like you, and I made some mistakes, but I would never dare to kill!"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
