Sophie masked her smile. "Let's go."
Colby merely lifted his hand, and his people began to retreat.
James was not ready to give up. He attempted to follow but was stopped by Colt. "Mr. Burke! You can't chase after him. That's Colby!"
"This is Devonport, and I'm the one in charge! What's Colby compared to me?"
"Lennon has handed over the entire Costello family to Colby! We can't afford to mess with him!"
"Get lost!" James shoved Colt away, his gaze then landing on Nichole.
"James…"
James looked as if he wanted to kill her right there. Nichole, terrified, stepped back, fearing James would truly take her life.
"Take these three for a thorough interrogation!"
"And about Ms. Nichole..."
"Capture her. Lock her in the basement!"
James' look was icy. "If Bea asks, tell her I've made arrangements for Nichole elsewhere."
"Yes, Mr. Burke."
"James! I'm carrying your child! You can't do this to me! James! You can't do this to me! Let me go! Let me go!"
Nichole struggled violently but was still restrained and dragged toward the outside of the church.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
