Mrs. Burke passed away.
As Sophie watched from the side, she suddenly became tense because James remained silent on the other end of the phone.
She thought James would be happy to hear of her death. With her gone, the position of Mrs. Burke could rightfully belong to Nichole.
Indeed, Nichole's delicate voice came through the phone. "James, who's calling?"
The call was hung up, followed by the sound of 'beep beep.'
Sophie chuckled lightly. Sure enough, even with her death, James showed no emotional turbulence.
Nichole was the only love of his life.
Sophie felt as if she had resolved a knot in her heart. Just as she closed her eyes, ready to leave this dream, she suddenly heard a doctor's scolding: “Who took the A-type blood? Why didn't you check in advance? Do you realize who is lying here?!”
Sophie opened her eyes to see the doctor in a fury.
Sophie was dead, along with the child in her belly. One was the lady of the Burke family, and the other was the unborn child of the Burke family.
The scared nurse backed away, saying, "I... I didn't know."
"You didn't know? What about you? Did you not know either?"
The doctor questioned another nurse, who, with her head down, cried like a fountain, "It was...it was Ms. Nichole."
Hearing this title, Sophie was stunned.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
