"The agreement exists..." but it's not like she’s selling herself.
Sophie was too embarrassed to say more, so she quietly picked up the partnership agreement on the table.
It read, "Aldridge Global Contract."
"Do you really want me to sell myself?"
Gordon glanced at Sophie.
Realizing she had misspoken, Sophie quickly corrected herself, "I mean, you want to sign me?"
Gordon spoke indifferently, "That's the idea. It's clearly stated in the contract."
"Mr. Gordon, although I've considered making a debut, I..."
"You plan to debut with S Corporation but are not willing to join the Aldridge family?"
"Um, well..."
Sophie couldn't organize her thoughts for a moment. Technically, that was the idea.
Gordon said, "Don't forget the agreement I signed with you before. If the Russell family goes under, it will also affect the Aldridge family. Now I want to sign you, and it's something you should do."
Sophie felt she had been tricked, utterly tricked.
Gordon had leveraged her unwillingness to owe others. What a cornering move!

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
