Adler escorted Sophie and Jenna into the corporation, his voice cutting through the air, "What's going on with HR? If I hear one more gossip, everyone's fired!"
Adler's outburst in the lobby sent employees scattering.
Meanwhile, a voice outside caught Sophie's attention.
"Ms. Nichole, good morning." The receptionist warmly welcomed Nichole inside, who immediately noticed Sophie in the lobby.
Today, Sophie was dressed differently than usual. She usually favored a casual style at work and outside work, but today, she seemed to have made an extra effort, exuding a cool and noble aura.
Remembering the humiliation from the night before, Nichole couldn't help feeling uncomfortable.Nichole frowned at the dispersed crowd and asked, "What's this panic about? Who's causing trouble in the corporation this early?"
"Oh, Ms. Nichole, feeling bold, aren't we?" Jenna sneered at Nichole, impressed by her audacity after just a few days.
No longer intimidated by Jenna, Nichole retorted with a cold laugh, "Ms. Jenna, are you the one causing trouble at S Corporation?"
The others remained silent. They were used to seeing Nichole dressed as if she were from a wealthy family, but today, standing next to Sophie and Jenna, she seemed to lose her shine, looking more like an imposter, her words carrying no authority.
"Ms. Nichole, it was me."
Adler turned around, and upon realizing the source of the commotion, Nichole scoffed, "I should've known. What brings you from the Tredgold Corporation to ours?"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
