Under Sophie's stunned gaze, Colby walked to her side.
Sophie lowered her voice and asked, "What exactly are you playing at?"
Colby simply smiled without a word. Instead, he took Sophie's hand directly. To onlookers, this scene was no different than a public display of affection.
Nichole said, "Mr. Colby, I know you and Ms. Sophie are engaged, but surely the matters of S Corporation are beyond your intervention, right?"
Colby didn’t even bother to lift his gaze as he said, "Tricia, show her."
"Yes, Mr. Colby."
Tricia placed Colby's appointment letter right in front of Nichole.
Upon seeing the letter, Nichole’s face turned pale instantly.
Tricia stated, "Mr. Colby invested eight billion into S Corporation a year ago. He owns twenty-five percent of the company shares, granting him absolute decision-making power."
"What? Mr. Colby invested eight billion a year ago? Is this true?"
"The appointment letter is right here. How could it be false?"
"My goodness, an eight billion investment a year ago? He's practically a founding shareholder!"

Hearing this, Nichole’s face grew even uglier. "This is impossible! S Corporation has been operating for a year! I've never heard of Mr. Colby investing! I don't accept this appointment letter!"
Sophie watched Nichole's disbelief, amused internally.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free.
