The maid hesitated, then said, "It's... it's Ms. Rowena."
"Rowe... you mean Nichole?"
"Yes."
Who in Devonport didn't know the gossip about Nichole, Sophie, and James? Now, with Nichole showing up as the future Mrs. Burke, it was obvious she was here to stir up trouble.
"Ms. Sophie, should I have security come up with an excuse to turn her away?"
"It’s okay." Sophie put down her spoon, having been eating her oatmeal, and said, "Let her wait in the lobby. I'll be down shortly."
"Yes, Ms. Sophie."
After the maid left, Sophie leisurely continued eating her oatmeal, spoonful by spoonful. Since Nichole was here with bad intentions, she didn't feel the need to rush.
Nichole wouldn’t dare cause a scene at Burke Estate.
Meanwhile, in the lobby, Nichole walked into Burke Estate, flanked by Burke International's bodyguards. Her eyes lit up instantly.
She had thought the Burke family was impressive enough, but she hadn't expected Burke Estate to be such a vast estate.
In the city center, owning such a manor was priceless!
Sophie was reallu lucky!
"Ms. Rowena, Ms. Sophie said to wait here for a moment. She'll be down shortly."
The maid maintained a polite tone.
But Nichole sat down on the sofa, assuming a superior posture. "I know, my time is precious. Tell Sophie to hurry up."
The maid frowned slightly at Nichole's rudeness. Even though Nichole was the future Mrs. Burke, this was Burke Estate! It wasn't just any place.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
