Sophie leaned against the second-floor railing, her curiosity piqued. With her cheek resting in her hand, she looked down and asked, "What debt might Ms. Rowena be talking about? I can't remember any."
"Sophie, cut the crap! Isn't a box of Bea's stuff still with you? Now that you're no longer Mrs. Burke, you should return it, right?"
Sophie couldn't help but laugh at Nichole's smug attitude.
She had almost forgotten about it until Bea's name was brought up.
To get rid of the Devins family, Bea had swapped a box of her prized possessions with Sophie for a billion dollars in cash as collateral.
From Nichole's words, it was clear Bea hadn't filled her in on this detail. She'd just sent Nichole to fetch the box.
Typical Bea, always using others as her pawns.
Sophie said, "Do you even know what's in that box, Ms. Rowena?"
"Bea's stuff is always top-notch. Whatever's in there, you're handing it over today!"
Nichole was sure Sophie had taken Bea's belongings when she was Mrs. Burke.
Now that Sophie and James were divorced, it made sense those things should be returned.
With a slight smirk, Sophie said, "Ms. Rowena, if you're here to collect a debt, you'd better know the details. If you reallyr want that box, I'll give it to you."
Nichole sneered, "Smart move! Get that box down here now!"
"Yes!"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
