Sophie and Chief Miller stood outside the police station, waiting together. Sophie had her arms crossed, feeling pretty annoyed.
"Just a chat, huh? Why did they have to kick everyone out of the station for that?"
She was not happy. These two men were definitely hiding something from her.
A moment later, Colby walked out, with Odie right behind him. Odie shook his handcuffed wrists and said, “Unlock these.”
Colby looked at Chief Miller and said, “Go ahead, unlock them.”
“Colby... the key…” Chief Miller said, looking uncomfortable.
“We don’t have the key!”
“Oh, I have it right here.” Sophie pulled out the key, handed it to Chief Miller, and Odie was promptly set free.
Odie shook his wrists and walked off without another word.
Sophie pointed at Odie and asked, “He’s just leaving like that?”
“Let him go,” Colby replied, pulling Sophie into the car.
On the drive, Sophie kept glancing at Colby, who was behind the wheel. “What did you two talk about?”
“Just some… guy stuff,” Colby said, making a zip-your-lip gesture.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
