Revenge On My First Love novel Chapter 501

Chapter 501 Rashad Got A Good Excuse

It was such a good excuse that Sophia had no way to refuse him.
Thinking that Bonnie was staying with Emma now, Sophia reckoned that Rashad would not be able to make trouble.
"Well, let's go!"
Both Rashad and Sophia drove to work today, and thus his car followed behind hers.
When they arrived home, Bonnie ran out of the living room and acted in this way each time when Sophia promised her to bring her back home.
"Mommy! It's been a long day. I really miss you!"
Sophia held her in arms and kissed her on her chubby cheek.
"Bonnie, I miss you, too!"
"Eek! Uncle Rashad?"
Bonnie noticed Rashad who followed behind.
Rashad walked up to her and said with a smile, "Hi, Bonnie. Have you ever missed me?"
Although Bonnie had no idea about the affair of her mother, father and uncle, she didn't have much feeling about Rashad due to her family's evident estrangement to him.
However, Bonnie knew she couldn't tell the truth and she nodded cutely, "Certainly. Uncle Rashad, what are you doing here?"
Sophia and Emma watched Bonnie's show and lost their words. They were worried that Bonnie didn't know how to reply. But she was unexpectedly smart to say so.
"Bonnie, I come here for you. Look, what is this?"
It was a box of Legos which could be used to build a princess castle.
"Wow, a beautiful castle. Uncle Rashad, it must be expensive, isn't it?"
Although Bonnie was a little child, she acted like an adult.
Rashad cracked a wry smile. He thought it might relate to her upbringing.
"Come on. It is the first time that I have given you a present."
"Well, I'll take it. Thank you, Uncle."
Emma walked to Rashad and said, "Rashad, we're family. You're being so polite to give Bonnie a gift."
"Since we're family, I should buy one for Bonnie. I feel a bit inadequate as an uncle."
"Well. Why not get in and take a seat!"
Did Rashad come only because he wanted to flatter Bonnie? Was his intention that simple?
They were not sure. But they knew how to deal with him.
At the very beginning, they just had a small talk. Later, as Bonnie built the bricks there alone, Rashad smiled, "Bonnie, can I join you?"
"It's OK. My mommy can help me."
"Your mommy's and my help will be better, won't it?"
It might be not proper to refuse again.
Emma saw them playing together and said, "Rashad, how about having a meal together?"
"I will. Thank you."
Then Emma began to cook while Sophia had to build the Lego castle with Bonnie and Rashad.
It was like that they were a family.
Sophia was thinking that no one might have such an idea. After all, others also played together, didn't they? Besides, here was the living room. It was a public area and no one would have a delusion!
"Mommy, do you know how to choose the right one?"
Bonnie saw she had made a few mistakes.
Of course, Sophia knew how to make it, but she was distracted now. As she came to life and was about to say something, Rashad got to her.
Behind Sophia, he seized her hand and said patiently, "Sophia, it should be done like this!"
Accidentally, when Sophia intended to push him away, Drake just came in.
It was imaginable that how Drake would act when he saw the scene.
"Rashad, what are you doing?"
Rashad was discovered, but there was no fluster on his face. He looked at Drake as he released Sophia.
"Nothing. Sophia didn't know how to build it and I taught her how to make it. Have you learned it, Sophia?"
He must say these words to Drake on purpose.
Sophia bit her lip. Although she had no evidence to prove it, she knew Rashad did so deliberately.
"Rashad, I know it. I just didn't!"
Rashad looked at her in astonishment. For a while, he seemed to go into a trance, but soon he smiled, "I'm sorry that I've misunderstood you!"
Naturally, Drake got a bit angry about it. He walked to him and warned, "Rashad, I don't care what relationship you were in with my wife. But now that you're my cousin, please keep my wife at a respectful distance."
Rashad still smiled, "Come on, Drake, are you serious? I've told you I don't have affection for Sophia."
"That'll be great!"
Drake looked sullen as if he wanted to drag everyone into an unfathomable abyss.
Rashad said in an apologetic tone, "Drake, I'm sorry. I should have paid much attention to it. Such a thing will never happen again."
Although Rashad promised that, everyone knew what he was thinking about.
When it was time for a meal, Emma called them to take a seat.
Rashad still acted naturally. After he sat down, he complimented while eating, "Emma. You're really good at cooking. But my mother is not. Although she has lived alone with me outside, I could only get enough to eat since what she cooked could only satisfy gourmands rather than gourmets."
Emma smiled, "Don't say that. Although Lily is not good at cooking, she is skilled in other fields."
"It's inevitable that everyone has their weakness. Emma, can I eat your food hereafter?"
Emma had realized the implications of his words, but she didn't speak out what he wanted to listen to. However, he mentioned it himself.
Subconsciously, she looked at Drake.
Drake looked cold and said, "Rashad, our grandpa is old. You should spend more time with him."
Rashad teased him, "Drake, are you worried that I will eat up your meal?"
From Drake's standpoint, Rashad's purpose was to snatch Sophia away from him.
"You come here so frequently that it's hard for others not to think too much!"
Rashad shook his head resignedly, "I've told I don't have affection for Sophia. You still don't believe in me. Put it simply, if I did have, Drake, you would not marry her now."
"Oh?"
Drake's voice got colder.
"Drake, I'm just joking."
Rashad was eloquent. He knew when to say the right words.
At this moment, if Drake did get angry, he would be considered as narrow-minded; if not, what Rashad said was really outrageous.
