Chapter 591 Prepare for an Artificial Storm
Drake was one hundred percent sure that Sophia was in a violent rage.
He asked seriously. "Then what should I do?"
"You have to apologize sincerely. Do something to make her forgive you. It depends on yourself."
That was basically pointless.
"Maybe feigning suffering will help. After all, she is angry because she loves you. Since she loves you, she must care about you. When she saw you suffer, she has to forgive you."
That sounded reasonable.
"Okay, thank you guys. You may leave!"
"Okay!"
They each replied and left.
When Drake came to Bonnie, Bonnie was enjoying herself.
"Papa, are we leaving?"
"Do you want to stay here?"
"Yes, Papa, it's fun here, I really like it. Can I stay for a little bit longer?"
Drake said with a smile. "Okay, stay however long you wish. But be careful. I'm going to do something. I'll be back later."
"Understood, when you come back, bring Mommy here too. Show her around this place."
Drake smiled. He was thinking of the same thing.
He kissed Bonnie on the cheek and left.
Outside, Drake asked, "What's the weather like today?"
Paul didn't understand, but he quickly checked the weather forecast.
"Sir, the weather is fine today."
"It's sunny. It doesn't look right."
Paul was confused again. What did this mean?
"Go prepare for an artificial storm. The bigger, the better."
Drake ordered.
Paul finally understood and left.
Drake went to the underground of the Skylane Group and said to the front desk. "I want to see Ms. Lawson."
The front desk glanced at Drake, and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, Mr. Riley, Ms. Lawson said that she would meet anyone today but you."
The front desk felt speechless. She was just a worker. She didn't want to get involved in their fight. Now she really felt a lot of pressure.
Fortunately, Drake didn't make things difficult for her. Instead, he said, "Okay, I see."
The front desk stared at him, and couldn't believe that he quit. That was it?
Drake knew that it was useless to call because Sophia wouldn't answer. So he asked Paul to prepare a loudspeaker. Afraid that Sophia wouldn't be able to hear him from above, he got two speakers.
He shouted, "Sophia, can you hear me?"
It was summer. The windows were closed since the air conditioners were on. It was uncertain whether Sophia heard him, and yet people on the lower floors all did.
Many people subconsciously looked towards the window when they heard someone calling their boss's name.
Paul, standing aside, felt a headache. How brave Drake was to apologize in front of so many people!
"Sophia, I'm Drake. Even if you can't hear me, I believe your employees can and they will pass my words to you."
Drake was right. It had spread throughout the company. Sophia was forced to know it.
Sophia looked down from the window. Drake was tall, but he looked small from her angle.
Drake also seemed to see her. He said with a smile. "Sophia, I know you're looking at me now. I'm here to apologize to you formally. I am sorry. Don't be angry with me. I'll do whatever you want me to do. Okay, I don't ask you to forgive me right away, but I will apologize for the wrong things I have done."
"I'm sorry, Sophia!
Sara said on the side. "Ms. Lawson, Mr. Riley loves you so much. I never expect such a proud person will apologize."
"Are you envious?" Sophia glanced at her and sat down in the chair.
"Not only me. Everyone in the company is envious."
Sophia ignored it. She didn't intend to pay attention to Drake during work hours.
He had kept his identity as King of the Underworld for so long, she had a reason to be angry.
Sara secretly told Rashad about it.
Rashad felt great, thinking, "So Sophia is angry. She just pretended to be okay in front of me that day."
"Mr. Witt, what are you going to do now?"
"I am going to watch the show, of course."
How could he miss such a drama? Maybe Sophia would no longer trust Drake and throw herself into his arms instead.
When Rashad came over. It suddenly started to rain. People passing by were complaining, "The weather forecast didn't say it would rain."
Sara looked at the heavy rain and then looked outside. Drake, wearing a black suit, was pretty eye-catching.
"Ms. Lawson, Mr. Riley is still standing outside!"
Sophia's finger moved slightly, but it was only for a moment.
"It looks like the sun won't come out again. Ms. Lawson, are you sure you want to keep him outside?"
Sara looked at Sophia after asking, only to find that Sophia was still working as if it had nothing to do with her.
Sara added a few sentences, but Sophia remained silent.
The rain was getting heavier and heavier. People were all whispering.
"It's raining so hard outside. Has Mr. Riley left?"
"Of course. I would leave if it were me. I don't want to catch a cold."
"But if he didn't leave, would Ms. Lawson forgive him?"
"Hey, let's make a bet. I bet Mr. Riley is still outside. My bet is 100 dollars!"
"Okay, I am in too. I bet that Mr. Riley has left. 200 dollars!"
"And me, 100 dollars on the bet!"
Just as they discussed with interest, they heard a voice.
"Which side has the biggest bet?"
The employees started to count the money seriously. Yet soon they realized that the voice sounded familiar. They turned around and found it was Sophia.
Everyone panicked and hurriedly put away the money in their hands.
"Well, Ms. Lawson, I didn't hear what you said just now, and I know nothing about it. I'm going back to work."
