Chapter 644 Divorce Laura
Sophia smiled and looked at him, "Dad, don't be sad. I didn't think I suffered any grievance. I just want you to be happy."
Abbott was moved by his daughter. He was willing to give her all the best in the world.
Sophia looked at her three brothers, "What is your plan? Are you going to stay for a few more days or leave now?"
Edwin didn't mind it and said, "Anyway, I have seen Sophia. I have work to do, I need to leave now."
Bard said, "I have work to do as well. I can't stay."
Charles was always with the least words, he simply said, "I asked for a two-day leave and it's up."
They only came to meet with the old Mrs. Lawson, they didn't intend to stay for her at all. They were only here now because they were worried about Sophia.
However, judging from the current situation, Sophia was no longer a pushover, she could protect herself. There was nothing for them to worry about.
Soon, Sophia saw them off.
The old Mrs. Lawson heard about it, called Abbott and scolded him.
"What? I have just come back and this is your attitude? You are not even going to stay for a few days? What do you mean?"
Abbott indifferently said, "Mom, you don't like us anyway. Their staying will only upset you, they might as well leave as soon as possible, right?"
"When did I say they upset me? Sophia is the only person who upsets me. Your doting on her upsets me. Shouldn't I point out your question?"
Abbott couldn't argue with her, "In short, they all have things to do, they can't stay. And Mom, I think you should think about what I said."
"You bastard! I have just come back and you want to send me away. Let me ask you, is this Sophia's idea? You are all confused by her!"
Abbott hung up the phone seeing that he couldn't ever talk sense into her now.
It could be seen that they wouldn't leave any time soon since they had come back. Anyway, Sophia had done tolerating them, let it be.
The old Mrs. Lawson stayed in the hospital for a few more days. In fact, she had been fine the whole time and only stayed in the hospital on purpose.
But during this time, no one came to see her except for her second son and his family.
When the old Mrs. Lawson was discharged from the hospital, she cried, "How can I lead such a failure in my life? Only one of my two sons cares about me. Abbott is so ungrateful! He doesn't even love his own mother!"
William said next to her, "Mom, you know Abbott. It must be his wife and Sophia who said something to him. You can't blame him for everything."
"You mean Laura and Sophia? Well, I must give them a hard lesson!"
William and Bella looked at each other.
Sophia went to the Riley Manor after work, before she walked into the living room, she heard the old Mrs. Lawson's voice.
Sophia frowned. No need to guess, she knew the old Mrs. Lawson came to make trouble again.
She gave the car key to the housekeeper and walked in.
"Laura, you are the person to blame! You brought chaos to the whole Lawson family, I order you, divorce my son now! From now on, you are not a member of the Lawson family anymore!"
Abbott could tolerate her for what she had done before, but being asked to divorce was ridiculous.
"Mom, what are you talking about? Why should we divorce? I will never divorce Laura!"
"Why not? You didn't go to the hospital to see me even once, I guess it must be her who said something to you! I should not have let you get married, I don't like her at all!" the old Mrs. Lawson looked aggressive.
Abbott said speechlessly, "Mom, it was me who didn't want to go see you. Laura has nothing to do with it. She even told me that I should go visit you regardless of anything..."
"Do you think I would believe it? You don't have to put in good words for her. I knew she must have said something! Anyway, you two have to divorce!"
Sophia came in a Queen's presence, "Grandma, you are not the one who wants my mother and my father to divorce, but uncle and aunt, right?"
William looked at her strangely, "Sophia, what do you mean by that?"
"Uncle, you can't be too greedy. What is not yours will never be yours. Everything you do is useless, you won't get them."
"What do you mean?" William's expression suddenly changed, "Do you think I came back to fight with you for the family property?"
"Isn't it?" Sophia was certain of it.
What family affection? Sophia had known the Riley family for years, when it came to money, family ties meant nothing.
"Sophia, you should be careful with your words. I have never thought of fighting with you for the family property."
"Oh, haven't you?"
Today, Sophia was no longer the child who always tried to keep the family harmonious, but a grown woman.
She had such intimidating aura around her.
Bella was also surprised. She had heard that Sophia was good but they didn't know that she could be this good. They thought that Sophia was only a woman, and she had made so many achievements only because of her brothers' help.
However, today, Bella finally knew that she had underestimated Sophia.
"Sophia..."
Because of her intimidation, William didn't know what to say now.
Sophia walked to the old Mrs. Lawson and said coldly, "Grandma, I don't know why you are getting more and more confused at your age. You'd rather believe someone with ulterior motives than my dad."
"I warn you, if you keep asking my dad to divorce my mom, I won't spare you."
The old Mrs. Lawson was intimidated and stepped back. She almost fell, if not for William and Bella's help.
She pointed at Sophia's nose, "Sophia, you are going too far!"
"I am not. I am just trying to protect my mom. Grandma, I only tolerated you before to keep the family together. But since you don't appreciate it, I won't give a damn about family ties anymore."
