"Oh yeah? I don't know whom you think I was but I think you don't know me that well," interposed Drake.
Cathy was rendered speechless while Drake continued, "Oh, by the way, if you stop me only to tell me about this. Save yourself the trouble. I will support Sophia for whatever she does even if it is something wrong. However, there are some people whom I will condemn even if they do things right. Now, I need to go home so get out of my way or I can't promise you won't be hurt."
Saying that, Drake ordered again, "Drive!"
The driver could feel his anger so he started the car without hesitation, leaving Cathy standing alone who could do nothing but shout at the fast-retreating car, "Drake! Cousin-in-law!"
But the car was already gone. Furious, Cathy blamed Sophia for Drake's cruel attitude but there was nobody she could complain to. So, she thought, "I must cause Sophia some trouble once I get to the new company or I fail to be one of the Lawsons."
Drake finally came home when Sophia was about to call him. Bonnie ran to her daddy at once and asked for cuddling. Holding his daughter in his arms, Drake walked into the living room and found all the other family members there.
"A little bit late today," said Emma.
"Yeah, something happened on my way home but it's no big deal." Drake didn't think it necessary to trouble his family with stupid Cathy.
Dinner was ready and the family went to the dining room. Drake really loved this family atmosphere, with parents of both sides living together, he and Sophia didn't need to worry too much.
Deep in his heart, he wished this happiness could last for the rest of their lives.
Therefore, when the family went to rest after dinner, Drake said to Sophia, "Sophia, why don't you ask our parents to stay here if they don't mind? Also, if Helena has children in the future, you can invite them to stay. It will be wonderful if all of us can live together."
Sophia smiled involuntarily, "When do you love to be surrounded by others? I remember you used to be angry when there was somebody with me."
"God, that was because you infatuated me when we just fell in love. Now we have been married, I would like all my family members and friends to stay by my side."
"That's a good idea. But I don't think our parents will agree because they are used to life in Pinkerton. They wouldn't stay here for so long if it wasn't for Grandma."
Drake said, "Well, they will get used to life in here. Don't you think they are quite happy here?"
"I never doubt this. But we can't force them if they are determined to leave," said Sophia.
Pondering for a few moments, Drake nodded since he agreed with Sophia's idea.
Sophia then asked casually, "By the way, you said something happened on your way home. What was it? Don't tell me it was Cathy who badgered you."
"I know I can't keep it from you. It was her indeed. She came to complain about you, charging you for sending her to Mr. Collins on purpose. I just couldn't tolerate her even for a few minutes."
Sophia glanced at him, "What she said is true."
"I know."
Sophia was quite surprised, "So? You don't mind?"
"Mind what?" Drake was confused.
"That I can sometimes be wicked."
"I know you will only be wicked to those who are hateful. Besides, Cathy tries to flirt with your dear husband every chance she gets. You're actually helping me," Drake justified.
Sophia shook her head helplessly, "That's because my husband is so attractive. But, Drake, I have to admit that I used Cathy to get rid of Mr. Collins."
