Right Person, Wrong Time novel Chapter 679

Chapter 679

"Darn it!" Harvey could not contain himself and exclaimed, "What on earth is going on? Did someone just open fire in broad daylight?"

Colton's expression was intimidatingly gloomy. If Sasha hadn't shielded him from the bullet, the bullet would have struck his heart directly.

"Stop talking nonsense. First, stop her bleeding. I've already called an ambulance, but if the bleeding continues, I'm afraid she'll lose too much blood!" Colton said as he hurriedly carried her into the bedroom.

Harvey finally realized the seriousness of the matter as he stopped talking nonsense and rummaged through the medical box after that. Then, he began treating Sasha. Colton set her down on the couch and it was almost immediately that the entire thing was stained with blood. Then, she began to lose consciousness.

Even amidst the chaos, Colton was still worried about Nicole. The shooter was clearly out for him, so when he let Sasha's hand go and was about to look for Nicole, she grabbed his sleeve with one hand.

"Colton, can you stay with me? I-I'm too scared to be alone."

Although Sasha's body was weak, her grip on him was firm. Her face had turned pallid due to excessive blood loss, and her eyes were beginning to mist, making her appear pitiful.

Colton stopped in his tracks and considered rejecting her, but as he watched her suffer because of him, he couldn't help but feel his heart soften.

"Take a good rest. Nothing will happen to you if Harvey is here," he reassured her in a hushed tone.

When Harvey cut Sasha's clothes open with scissors, there was a bloody bullet hole above her chest.

He was considered a family doctor, and while he possessed adequate medical skills, he had never dealt with gunshot wounds. The bullet hole looked like it was still slightly scorched, which was a disturbing sight.

"Colton, I-I'm scared. Will I die—" she sobbed and stammered. Her whole sentence was enveloped in a tearful voice.

Seeing how worried she was, Colton halted in his footsteps and stood beside her. "Don't worry. I'll be here with you. An ambulance is on the way, so just let Harvey treat your wound before we go to the hospital."

Blinking her tears away, Sasha suppressed her fear and nodded. "Okay."

Harvey, who had never dealt with a gunshot wound before, stood there bewildered by the scene before him. Therefore, he could only do what he could to help stop the bleeding.

Fortunately, the bleeding stopped, and the ambulance arrived shortly after that. When the doctor took a look at Sasha's condition, he immediately made haste to try to save her and added, "She was shot, and the bullet is still lodged in her bones. We have to take her to the hospital for surgery. Which one of you is her family member? Please come with us."

Though Colton was still concerned about Nicole's whereabouts, he didn't have a choice when Sasha held on to his hand tightly, looking like she was on the brink of death.

When the doctor noticed the interaction between the two, he caught a hint, so he quickly urged, "Sir, please come with us."

Colton thought about it for a while but did not refuse. Instead, he turned to Harvey and ordered, "Go and look for Nicole. Someone just fired a shot, so I'm afraid she might be in danger. If she's fine, take her to my house first, and I will send someone to meet you two." After saying that, he followed the doctor into the ambulance.

After noticing that Colton had left, Harvey couldn't fathom what he was up to! Recalling the bloody scene earlier, he had no choice but to comply with Colton's command. If something did happen to Nicole, not to mention Colton, even his brother might go crazy.

Due to the shooting that happened to Sasha earlier, everyone else was crammed into the room. Douglas' expression became solemn because today was supposed to be their trade fair, but this had happened.
