Right Person, Wrong Time novel Chapter 687

Chapter 687

Although Sasha was hit by a bullet, fortunately, it did not hit her heart. After three hours of surgery, she was pushed out of the operating room.

Anesthesia was administered during the operation, so when Sasha was pushed out, her face was pale, her eyes were tightly shut, and she was still in a coma. Colton stepped forward to take a look at her before asking the doctor, "How is she?"

"Her condition isn't too serious at the moment. The bullet stuck on her bone has been removed, but she still needs to be taken care of. If all goes well tonight, then she will be fine," replied the doctor. She was lucky to survive such a misfortune.

"Fortunately, the bullet got stuck on her bone, so it didn't cause damage to the organs. She is considered lucky. Please take good care of the patient and ring for us if something goes wrong."

Colton nodded. After hearing that Sasha was fine, he decided to get someone to take care of her while he went to check on Nicole.

As soon as he was about to leave, however, he heard Sasha mumbling, "Colton… Colton, I'm sorry… Please don't go… I really like… you…"

Though the voice was soft, Colton could hear her clearly.

Glancing down at her pale face, he noticed tears forming in the corners of her eyes. Complex emotions filled his eyes. After all, they used to be a loving couple.

Colton sighed. It wasn't that he wasn't grateful to Sasha, because, without her, he would have long been dead.

Colton then put down his phone and followed the doctor into the ward.

The night sky outside looked as if it was covered in a black cloth without a hint of dirt.

In the quiet hospital, Colton sat beside Sasha's bed, looking down at his phone.

On the other hand, Gabriel took Nicole to Colton's apartment and left after settling her down. After that, he texted Colton: 'I was so shocked when I saw Nicole today. She resembles my mother.'

Typing away on his phone, Colton replied: 'I see.'

Reading the cold message from his friend, Gabriel couldn't help but chuckle and add another message: 'By the way, she was drugged when I met her today.'

After Colton read the message, he inhaled a sharp breath and knitted his brows. His fingers typed faster than he did before.

'What happened?'

Sensing how panicked Colton was, Gabriel found it amusing. He had known him for years but had never seen him so flustered.

'Not sure. I didn't check on her, but I gave her an antidote. She's fine now.'

Staring at his phone screen, Colton couldn't help feeling anxious. Today, he was the target of a shooting. At the same time, Nicole was drugged!

After pondering for a moment, he answered: 'Thanks for helping out today.'

Gabriel replied: 'Don't mention it.'

Keeping his phone, Colton glanced at the woman lying unconscious on the bed before getting up to leave. He had already assigned someone to take care of Sasha. In the meantime, he decided to go look for Nicole.

The moment Colton left the room, the unconscious person on the bed opened her eyes. Those who had to undergo training with Undercity were used to anesthetics. Not long after the operation, Sasha regained consciousness, but she wanted Colton to stay with her, so she pretended to be in a coma.

With a bitter smile on the corner of her lips, she clenched her fingers that were connected to various medical devices. It was truly ironic that she risked her life to protect him but couldn't even get an accompaniment in return.

Even for a strong person like her, she couldn't help feeling sore in the nose for some reason. The pain in her heart hurt way more than the physical pain she was suffering.

Just then, there was a slight movement at the door. Subsequently, a tall and thin man came in. He looked down at the person on the bed and informed her softly, "He already left the hospital."
