Right Person, Wrong Time novel Chapter 707

Chapter 707

Julian initially thought he had to hold Noah down a little longer, but he didn't expect Nicole to slap him so decisively. Even just hearing the sound of the hard slap made him feel hurt.

He then carefully raised his eyes to look at Colton and couldn't help but sigh in his heart. His boss indeed had a unique taste in women. It turned out that he liked a staunch woman like Nicole.

On the other hand, Noah was caught in a daze after earning the hard slap from Nicole. It took him a long while to calm down and withdraw the sadness on his face. Sniffing, he stared at Nicole with red eyes. Due to the sobbing, his voice sounded extra heavy. "What is your purpose and why are you doing this?!"

"I don't have a purpose." Seeing that he had collected himself, Nicole spoke with the same cold voice from before.

Naturally, Noah didn't believe her. He raised his head and stared at her with skepticism.

Waving her hand, she explained, "Your death won't bring me any benefits."

Noah tightened his fists. Ever since graduating from university, his master and his master's wife practically raised him. Although he was a little rigid in character, he could still distinguish right from wrong. The man sitting beside him did save his life earlier. If it wasn't for the man's sharp eyesight and reflex that pulled him away, he might have died under the dark muzzle of a gun.

Noah was still traumatized about what happened earlier. He had no idea who he had offended and why they wanted him dead! After pondering, he asked in a trembling voice, "Did you kill Mrs. Clancy?"

Nicole denied it, "No."

Noah clasped his hands together and exerted so much force on his fingers that his knuckles turned white.

Nicole looked at him and questioned, "Are you trying to ask why someone came to kill you?"

Noah wavered a little as he looked up at Nicole and pursed his lips. Although he didn't speak, he did want to ask that question.

Smirking, Nicole grabbed the cup filled with water on the table and took a sip before uttering, "Because you reported me. If you were dead today, the public would accuse me of killing you. The reason they are doing this is to prove that I was the one who murdered Norman's family. They want to make the public think that I killed you to destroy the evidence. Do you understand?"

Disbelief quickly clouded Noah's face. After all these years of following in Mrs. Clancy's footsteps, he knew that the Clancy Family never had enemies! Why would anyone want to murder them?

"No way!" Noah was so agitated that he stood up and shook his head fervently.

"My master and Mrs. Clancy never had enemies. No one would want them dead!"

His eyes were filled with suspicion right now. He clenched his fists, skeptical of Nicole's claims.

Seeing that he was trying to dig into a dead end, she snickered, "The cause of Norman's death is that years ago, he was instigated by Pierre to bribe one of my master's patient's family members to make a fuss in the hospital. To stop him from getting the word out, Pierre killed him!"

Noah went speechless for a moment. When his master was detained in the country, he went around with Maddy to look for connections. They also investigated what happened in the country, and it turned out that Nicole was telling the truth.

The evidence was conclusive that Norman bribed White's patient's family members and made a fuss.

"As for his family members, they used Undercity's powers to kidnap my son, but eventually, Mrs. Clancy and I did not confront each other. My son came back to me peacefully. Think about it. Who could've made a move so easily?" Nicole stared at Noah with her dark orbs.

However, Noah was still doubtful about Nicole's words. He was still reluctant to believe her wholly.

Clearing his throat, he questioned with clenched fists, "Mrs. Clancy has never been in a conflict with Undercity. Why would they want to kill her?"
