Right Person, Wrong Time novel Chapter 708

Chapter 708

Nicole looked at the man in front of her, thinking he was beyond hope.

"Because someone in Undercity is out to get me. Mrs. Clancy and the rest had met someone from Undercity. Undercity was concerned that she might reveal her identity, so he murdered her to silence her."

The veins on Noah's forehead bulged slightly. He seemed very unwilling to believe Nicole's words, but he did not know how to refute her either. Mrs. Clancy had always been honest, so how could she provoke those from Undercity?

The forces of Undercity were rooted deeply here. Even if they had not been in contact, everyone knew of them.

"I—" Noah opened his mouth, but he was interrupted by Nicole when he was about to say something.

"Whether you believe me or not is your business. I don't care, but if you still want to keep this life of yours, you'd best heed my words. Don't go out anytime soon. In the meantime, I will send someone to protect you," Nicole uttered in a low voice.

Noah was rather daft, so no matter how much she explained, Nicole knew it was useless. She might as well spell it out for him.

Hearing that, Noah shut his mouth and didn't say anything else. He couldn't die just yet. He had no idea why Maddy and her children lost their lives. If he died, it would definitely end up becoming an unjust case!

Seeing that Noah didn't say anything further, Nicole waved her hand and announced, "Take him away and protect him."

As Julian watched Nicole order that unceremoniously, he raised his eyes to look at Colton.

Colton saw Julian staring at him and he muttered angrily, "What? Didn't you hear that your sister-in-law told you to leave? Hurry up, then."

Julian grumbled to himself, He really is something, huh? His true nature is finally exposed! However, he kept that to himself and only reached out to drag Noah with him before leaving the latter to his men.

Meanwhile, Nicole rubbed her brows. She was exhausted from all these issues that came so late at night.

Colton watched the tired-looking Nicole close her eyes, and he hurried forward to massage her temples.

When Julian returned, the first thing he saw was Colton, a man who rarely smiled, happily being at Nicole's beck and call.

The corner of his lips twitched, but he went forward nonetheless and reported, "Boss, I took Noah away. Wolf has been a little busy recently and something happened, so I may not be able to stay here for long."

Because of Nicole's presence, Julian didn't make it too clear.

Colton nodded in response. Without stopping his administration on Nicole's shoulders, he stated, "I understand. Go do what you need to do."

When Nicole heard Julian's voice, she simply closed her eyes. After all, it was better not to meddle in others' affairs.

After Julian finished speaking, his eyes slowly fell on Nicole's face, and he suddenly asked, "Miss Anderson, do you know Dream Juniper?"

Nicole froze, which prompted Colton to lean closer to her as he could clearly feel her body stiffen.

She opened her eyes and stared back at Julian with an icy gaze. He didn't deserve to mention Dream's name!

"So what if I do?" Nicole's voice was cold, and she felt her chest freeze. Colton, who was close to her, had already noticed her anger.

A flash of clarity appeared in Julian's eyes. No wonder Nicole was so hostile toward him. It turned out to be because of his affair with Dream.

He then stated, "The girl by Dream's side is sent by an enemy. If I don't get rid of her, Dream will die." Julian stood straight in front of Nicole, and his tone was neutral.

Nicole, on the other hand, only looked at him indifferently as she stated coldly, "What's the use of telling me all these?"

Julian clenched his fists, vividly remembering Dream's heartbreaking cry. He had explained it to her himself, but Dream didn't believe it at all and only said that he killed the person closest to her.

"I've been looking for her for many years. Miss Anderson, if you know her whereabouts, can you tell me?" Julian asked with lowered eyebrows.

Nicole snorted coldly. This person must be dreaming! Raising her eyes, she locked gazes with Julian as she enunciated clearly, "The Dream you know and I know may not be the same person. I believe you're asking the wrong person, Mr. Brooks."
