Right Person, Wrong Time novel Chapter 752

Chapter 752

When William realized he was going to spend the rest of his days behind bars, he instantly flipped out and slammed the table hard, growling like an angry beast. "Let me tell you one thing, Nicole—I'm your biological father, so if I'm labeled as a murderer because of this case, it probably won't end well for you either. You'll forever have to live with the stigma of having a father who's a murderer." William's face was flustered; he showed his true colors since all hopes of getting get out of prison were lost now.

Nicole clenched her fists and fixed her cold gaze on William. She then said with a smile, "Have you forgotten about something, William? You disowned me long ago, so technically, you and I are strangers to each other now."

At that moment, William's forehead was covered in veins. His eyes were filled with anger and rage as he gritted his teeth. "Why won't you give your son to the Gardner Family, Nicole? It's not like they're going to abuse him or something. This is going to be a win-win situation!"

In the meantime, Nicole felt even more disappointed when she noticed how her father wouldn't stop encouraging her to give her son up in exchange for his freedom. Speechless by William's selfish attitude, she could only clench her fists helplessly.

The next second, she rose from her seat and walked away without saying a single word. When William saw her reaction, he snarled at her like a madman. "I'm your father, Nicole! If I become a prisoner, you will also be condemned. You're a murderer's daughter!"

Nevertheless, Nicole seemed and felt calm in the face of William's aggressive attitude, but deep down, she reckoned she shouldn't have visited her father in prison. The moment she left the detention cell, she went home straight away, thinking she had nothing else worth staying for in the country.

I should just pack my stuff and bring Ms. Betty along with me to another country. As for Colton… I guess we should keep some distance between us.

Later that afternoon, it began to drizzle just as the dark sky was filled with emptiness. At the same time, Nicole was sitting on the balcony, letting the cold breeze graze her skin. While she couldn't stop rubbing her arms with her palms, the extreme cold she was feeling could not beat the voidness that was overwhelming her on the inside.

Suddenly, she felt herself being covered by a blanket, and her body felt somewhat warmer because of that. Then, she heard a gentle voice saying, "It's a chilly night. Don't catch a cold."

When Nicole looked up, she met Zachary's eyes. Meanwhile, she responded with a grunt and held the blanket tightly with her palm. Noticing her indifferent attitude, Zachary decided to sit by her side to keep her company. It wasn't until a few moments later that Nicole was finally able to pull herself together. She then gazed at the sky for a split second before she shifted her eyes to Zachary and stood up.

"Alright, it's getting late now, so let's go back. By the way, since I have no other important business here, could you please buy an air ticket for tomorrow? I plan on bringing Ms. Betty along as well."

Zachary was happy to hear Nicole's plan about returning abroad. Thus, he nodded and replied, "Alright, I'll get the flight tickets ready for Hayden and Ms. Betty. Besides, I'll also have the brain specialists on standby at the airport so that they can run a check-up on her once she arrives."

"Thanks." Nicole expressed her gratitude when Zachary promised he would take care of everything.

Zachary reacted with a gentle smile and stepped forward, placing his hand on Nicole's shoulder. "Come on, Nicole. You and I are beyond these formal pleasantries."

Nonetheless, Nicole only forced a brittle smile in silence. After responding with a low grunt, she turned around and retreated to her room. On the other hand, Zachary's smile slowly faded as Nicole disappeared from sight. After all, someone's life was at stake—Nicole and Colton's relationship was the key determinant that would decide that person's fate.

Although William was never a dutiful father, he knew Nicole would nonetheless restrain herself from dating Colton, believing she still cared about him. Apart from that, Zachary, who was also a man himself, could tell that Colton was in love with Nicole. Besides, the fact that he had a crush on Nicole for years also allowed him to see through her feelings for Colton.
