Chapter 979 I’ll Follow Whatever My Wife Says

Nicole had chosen a five-star hotel with grand and beautiful interior decor for Roger and his men. As Nicole had reserved the entire hotel, only a few people were walking around in the lobby.

When she made the reservation, she specifically instructed the person in charge to let most of the employees go on leave.

After all, the sight of Roger and his men in groups would almost certainly cause panic.

They all had fierce appearances and exuded a chilly aura after being in that unruly place for a long time.

Nicole then brought Colton and Julian to the huge conference room on the top floor. She had informed Roger earlier that she would be coming, which was why he and his men were already waiting for them in the conference room.

However, when they saw Julian behind Nicole, they jumped to their feet and began staring at him fiercely.

Looking at their fierce demeanor, Nicole waved her hand and announced, "Everyone here is on our side. Don't be nervous."

Roger, with his strong body, slowly walked toward Nicole, his face filled with caution. Then, he drew Nicole into his embrace, as if he were afraid anything would happen to her.

Nicole saw his concerned expression too. "Roger," she softly called out to him.

Roger narrowed his eyes, his glare chilling as he stared viciously at Julian. "Why is someone from Wolf here?" he asked in a cold voice.

He had some business dealings with Julian in the past, but they were strictly business. Roger couldn't help but be more vigilant now that they might be dealing with something more serious.

At this point, Nicole reached out to grab Roger's elbow while pointing at Colton and saying, "He is the hidden leader of Wolf. I brought them here this time so that we can all deal with Undercity together."

The hidden leader of Wolf, huh?

Roger immediately looked at Colton and sneered. "Pretty boy, it doesn't matter if you're Wolf's hidden leader or not because Lome doesn't need to work with anyone. We can handle Undercity on our own."

Nicole knew that Roger looked down on Colton, but what Colton said was right. Thus, she tugged on Roger's sleeve and muttered coldly, "Roger, Colton is Hayden's father. It's safe to work with him."

That stunned Roger. He had never expected that the child that Nicole bore was Colton's!

"Boss…" His lips trembled slightly, his eyes wide with disbelief.

Nicole, on the other hand, simply lowered her gaze and stated in a low tone, "This is not the time for us to argue among ourselves. We have to defeat Undercity as soon as possible and find out its mastermind. I want to know who is the one harming me repeatedly!"

Roger fell silent for a while and he finally calmed down. "Lome can work with you," he said while staring at Colton. "But Boss must have the final say in everything."

Colton wasn't fearful of Roger at all. He looked Roger in the eye and replied smilingly, "Of course. I'll follow whatever my wife says."
