Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2239

Immediately, Deckard's and his men's attention shifted to Nathan.

Still holding Amelia, Deckard narrowed his eyes annoyedly at the man. “And who the heck is this guy, Amelia?”

“Who knows. Probably another one of Amos' useless friends,” answered Amelia with a nonchalant shrug.

Useless friends? Amos got even more upset when he heard his girlfriend. “Don't you disrespect my friends!”

“It's bad enough that I had to look at a useless man like you every single day. Now you're bringing more of your kind to our house? You're unbelievable, Amos. You and your friends are nothing but a bunch of losers. Luckily, I met Mr. Camden. If I were to marry you, I would have to suffer for the rest of my life.”

Amos got so furious that he was at a complete loss for words.

Widening his eyes at Amelia, Amos could not believe how gentle she used to be back when she was blind. She seemed to have become an entirely different person after regaining her eyesight.

“Amelia, we're only here to warn him not to disturb you again, and I think we've already done that. Now let's get out of here. I have reserved a table at the most expensive restaurant in town, remember?” reminded Deckard impatiently.

Amelia rested her head on the man's shoulder before replying, “Of course, Mr. Camden. We'll leave now. Like you, I would rather not spend another second in this godforsaken place.”

Deckard was about to gesture for his bodyguards to escort them out when Nathan exclaimed, "Wait!”

“What do you want, boy?” questioned Deckard coldly while scowling at Nathan.

"Amelia, Amos spent all his savings to pay for your surgery just so you could see again. He even put in the effort so that you could have a decent wedding. Everything your boyfriend had, he gave it all to you, and this is how you repay him? By sleeping with another man and humiliating him in front of his friends? And now you're just going to walk away as if he meant nothing to you?”

Even though what Nathan said upset her, Amelia would rather not go against the man directly, so she turned to pout at Deckard. “Say something, Mr. Camden.”
