Every member of the Wasp Special Attack Unit looked ashen as beads of sweat dripped down their foreheads continuously.
Despite the number of battles Lorcan had taken part in, he, too, had turned pale, and the hand that was holding Desert Eagle started trembling.
Jemma and her subordinates were even worse off.
By the time the woman noticed the iron barrier made by countless warships surrounding them, her legs began to shiver uncontrollably.
Her few subordinates were even more terrified, and some didn't even realize that they had wet themselves.
Nathan glared at the terrified-looking group. “I have Eurasia's Southern Fleet and Remdik's Pacific Ocean Fleet out there. What do you think your chances of survival are with two carrier battle groups against you?”
Lorcan and Jemma shuddered at the mention of that.
By then, Jemma was at a loss on what to do and could only remain standing in place. Her face had turned as white as a sheet.
But as someone who had gone through various trials and tribulations, the mentally resilient Lorcan quickly composed himself.
He then pulled Penny closer and placed his gun against her temple. “I never thought you'd actually be able to summon two countries' naval forces to deal with us, Nathan Cross. But you've miscalculated one thing. As the highest-ranked general of Eurasia, you should've never come here. I order you to get down on your knees and turn yourself in. If you don't, I'll blow your wife's brains into bits.”
Hearing that, Jemma immediately snapped out of her daze and chimed in, “That's right! Nathan is the Chief Military Governor of Eurasia! We'll just have to capture him. No matter how many people surround us, we’d be able to get away as long as we take him hostage.”
Thus, all the Wasp Special Attack Unit members raised their sub-machine guns at Nathan, although no one dared to pull the trigger.
It wasn't just because they knew who Nathan was, but also due to the two carrier battle groups outside waiting to fire at them. All they wanted now was to get out of here safely, and they could only do so if they could take the man before them as their hostage.
“No one dares aim a gun at my family,” Nathan remarked frostily. “Everyone who's done that in the past has died.”
Despite his opponent not giving in, Lorcan still wasn't bold enough to fire at Nathan. “I told you to get down on your knees! Did you not hear me?” he roared in desperation. “I'll count to three! If you don't kneel, I'll shoot your wife in the head, then it'll be your precious little daughter next!”
“One... Two...”
He began to count.
But before he could finish, Nathan interrupted him. “Three!”
A gunshot rang out from outside the window as a bullet made its way directly toward Lorcan.
Before he could even react, the bullet hit him right in the forehead, and he collapsed to the ground, lifeless.
