Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2148

Even though Zachary was outstanding and had enough money to last several lifetimes, she insisted on earning and spending her own money.

She said it felt great to spend money she earned herself, without any psychological burden.

He entrusted all his assets to her, but she rarely used his money.

“I’m fine. I’m still young, in good health, and full of energy. I fell asleep so early last night, and now I feel especially refreshed.”

Saying this, Serenity sat up and smiled, “I think it’s been a long time since I prepared breakfast for you. I woke up early today, so I’ll go and get a breakfast full of love ready for you.”

Zachary smiled, “I suddenly miss the ordinary life we had when we first got married. Every morning, you would either cook porridge or go out to get some croissants back. It was the first time I had croissants that you brought back.”

“I miss it too. How about we go back to Brynfield tonight and stay for a while?”

“It’s up to you,” said Zachary indulgently. In their household, she had the final say.

“I’ll go take a shower first, and then I’ll head downstairs to make you breakfast.”

Zachary said, “They’ve started making breakfast. Let’s rest on the weekends. You can make breakfast with love for me then.”

“The weekend just passed, and it will be a few more days until the next weekend. Sorry, in a couple of days, we have to go to Annenburg. We’ll go a few days in advance and stay there. I miss Clo-clo.”

After thinking for a moment, Zachary said, “Okay then.”

Only then did Serenity go to take a shower.

When she came out of the bathroom, her husband was already dressed, sitting at the dressing table, waiting for her.

Seeing as she even washed her hair, he immediately went to retrieve the hair dryer. He nagged, “Why did you wash your hair so early in the morning?”

“I accidentally wet my hair when I was showering. Might as well wash it.”
