Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2835

A few minutes later.

“Liberty.”

Kevin was still waiting in the suite when Liberty arrived, and he promptly opened the door for her.

“Thanks, Kevin.”

“I’ve already said it just now, Liberty, you don’t have to be so courteous with me. You take your time chatting. I’ll go do some work.”

Kevin came out of the room to let Liberty in. He instructed his bodyguards, including Jim, “Stay here and don’t let anyone get close. Even though the top floor is restricted, it’s better to be safe than sorry.”

Although the top floor was restricted to unauthorized personnel, it was better to remain cautious.

Jim and the bodyguards respectfully acknowledged his instructions.

Kevin left once he finished briefing them.

When Liberty entered, the two ladies were already sitting on the sofa, each with a cup of water in front of them. The coffee table was adorned with snacks and fruits for their hospitality.

“Ms. Liberty.”

Seeing Liberty come in, the two women stood up from the sofa. Immediately, they took off their sunglasses and masks. Since they had decided to side with Liberty, it was time to show their true faces.

Though not in their youth anymore, these two women invested in their appearances and looked much younger than their actual age.

“Please have a seat, both of you.”

Liberty politely gestured for them to sit down again.

Her husband told her that they only needed to convey the sentiments of their two families and that they should avoid saying anything unnecessary.

Liberty was chosen as the representative from Wiltspoon, and she probably already knew the important figures within the Fisher family.

There was no need for Judy and Cindy to say much.

As a matter of fact, speaking too much might leave a bad impression on Liberty, as people with loose tongues could not keep secrets.

Liberty smiled. “I appreciate that Uncle Sebastian and Uncle Stan think so highly of me. I would like to ask the two of you for a favor of my own. Please convey a few words to them for me, I need to find out how my grandparents died.

“We’ll definitely retrieve what’s rightfully ours. If it doesn’t belong to us, we’ll leave it be. The Fisher family is on the verge of falling out of the ranks of prestigious families in Jensburg, and that’s not good. After all, the Fishers have been a prominent family in Jensburg for a hundred years and counting.

“I believe that everyone within the Fisher family would hope that their family would rise once again. Maybe not to the peak, but at least back to a prominent position. Aristocratic families rely on unity for mutual development, and our family should be no different.”
