Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2936

Hayden had also given Liberty a considerable amount of help both overtly and covertly.

The people of Jensburg could clearly see that this Ms. Hunt from Wiltspoon was the offspring of the Fishers’ previous matriarch and that she had returned to compete against the Fishers on their turf.

Liberty was setting up her business in the same industry as the Fishers’ most important business, and was obviously trying to steal their share of the pie.

Some Fisher family members had secretly begun to defect to Liberty’s side.

Caroline smiled and picked up her teacup once more. Gracefully, she savored the fragrant tea.

Ring, ring, ring!

Caroline’s phone began to ring.

She put down her cup and picked up her phone to look at the caller ID before saying to Hayden, “It’s my mother. Maybe she doesn’t want to continue taking care of my father in the hospital anymore.”

Belinda had forced her father to be hospitalized.

The old couple seemed fine on the surface, but behind closed doors, they were no longer on good terms with each other. There was no need for Caroline to ask her father to know that he despised her mother.

Not only could he not do anything to Belinda, but he also had to keep doing his best to please her.

Such was the path Hunter had chosen back then. He had no one but himself to blame.

Caroline answered the call in front of Hayden.

“Mom.”

“Where are you now, Caroline?”

“I’m at Queen Enterprise to discuss a collaboration with Hayden.”

Belinda asked, “How’s it going?”

She was not very hopeful about its prospects.

Hunter’s injury was inconvenient for a woman like Caroline to help him with.

He only suggested to Belinda for Caroline to come care of him at the hospital, undoubtedly because he knew there was no more hope for Celine. For the sake of his later years and the Clarks, he wanted to repair his relationship with his biological daughter.

After all, the Clarks’ blood also flowed in Caroline’s veins.

She could not just leave them to die, could she?

After the Clarks learned that Caroline was the Fishers’ biological daughter, they treated her very well.

They were more clear-headed than Hunter was.

If they could not rely on their blood, who could they rely on?

The Clarks tried to advise Hunter in private when he previously took a bad attitude toward Caroline, but he ignored all of it and did not listen.
