She’s Married, Sir (Scarlett and Sebastian) novel Chapter 59

Chapter 59

Hearing a loud bang behind him, Dev, who had already walked a considerable distance, was so startled that his face paled.

He rushed over quickly and saw Scarlett lying on the light wheel, her face pale from the pain, tightening his heart unconsciously.

He tugged at the car door with a stony expression, only to find it locked, and he was unable to open it.

He pounded on the window, “Miss Sales, open up!”

Scarlett, chuching her chest, lay on the steering wheel and took a deep breath.

She felt dizzy and couldn’t make out a word Dey was saying: her cars were buzzing.

Dev, without uttering a word, smashed open the back window, believing he had lost consciousness.

He opened the car door, got in, opened the main door, and quickly got out to assist Scarlett.

Scarlett felt as if a savior had arrived, as if she were desperately clutching a life-saving straw before her demise. She weakly lifted her arm and clutched his, and with great effort, uttered two words: “Oxygen…air.”

She was in a state of extreme heart failure due to insufficient blood, making it easy to lack oxygen. She had to absorb oxygen

to survive.

Upon hearing these two words, Dev’s mind went blank Fragments of memories raced through his head, so quickly that it gave him a splitting headache.

He shook his head, picked up Scarlett, and told Mr. Baber. “Ask the hotel to send oxygen tanks over.”

It was now too late to go to the hospital.

Fortunately, the Gatsby Group owned this hotel, and to ensure the guests occasional needs were met, the hotel would provide first-aid supplies at the annual meeting.

Upon spotting that it was the president of the headquarters, the hotel manager swiftly dispatched someone to fetch an oxygen tank.

Carrying Scarlett in his arms, Dey entered the presidential suite she had booked for him and noticed her face had paled to the point of losing all color.

He was suddenly afraid that she would die just like that, so he anxiously contacted Yan, a good friend of his from the academic seminar in A Town.

After waking up the extremely disciplined Yan, Dev told him the address and, without delay, hastened to rescue him. Then, he hung up

Yan was stunned and, without a second thought, threw away his phone. He then closed his eyes and, almost immediately, opened them again.

Did he hear correctly that Dev wanted him to rescue someone?

That big blockhead never asked anyone for anything!

Who was this person that allowed Dev to call them in the middle of the night?

Yan had OCD, so he had to go to bed at this time, he couldn’t stand delaying for longer than a minute or even half a second.

He was curious about who Dev wanted him to save, so he gritted his teeth, grabbed the car key, and headed out the door, breaking the rules.

While Yan was still en route, Dev had to prioritize giving Scarlett oxygen.

The oxygen tanks were small-sized, yet sufficient for Scarlett’s needs for a period of time.

As she inhaled the oxygen, the sensation of suffocation and pain in her heart gradually eased. Her consciousness gradually regained strength with the infusion of oxygen. Upon opening her eyes and seeing Dev standing by the bed with a frown, she slightly paused.

It turned out that Dey was the one who had saved her just now.

Scarlett was taken aback when the person she thought wanted to kill her ended up saving her.

When she saw she was almost finished, she removed the oxygen tank and attempted to rise from the bed.

However, Dev pressed her down. “Miss Sales, don’t fidget”

Scarlett brushed his hand aside and murmured, “I’m alright. Thanks, Mr. Gatsby.”
