Sinful Mates 1-3 novel Chapter 164

  Evelyn POV

Imogen had been pacing in the loungeroom again, something had made her nervous after her sister rang but she wouldn’t say anything, but something changed. Her tears stopped as she nervously paced in front of the door, jumping at every noise she heard. Ryland wounds finally healed after he managed to wash majority of the poison from them. Orion was staring off into space, when I felt Thaddeus moods switch, making Ryland look over at me obviously feeling it to. Relief and happiness radiating out of him and into us.

Theo and Tobias were sitting on the lounge watching the fire crackle completely silent, my daughter laying on Tobias chest as he rubbed her little back. Time seemed to just move so slowly, agonisingly slow. As we waited for him to return to us.

Thaddeus sudden shift in mood was alarming, one minute he was almost happy the next I felt the tendrils of darkness flooding into him, so thick that it made my heart race faster we could hear the storm brewing outside and I had no doubt it was from him. What was he doing that he was using his magic? Had he officially lost it, did he break like Ryland said. I couldn’t understand the shift, but my anxiety was through the roof as I watched lightening light up the sky outside, Ryland to got up pacing along with Imogen.

After a while I no longer felt anything from Thaddeus like he was suddenly blocking us out, that was almost worse as he cloaked himself, shut off his emotions like a switch. Leaving me with nothing to go on, worry clawing at my insides when my daughter suddenly started crying, the lights flickering as she shrieked, Tobias rocking her trying to get her to calm down. Everyone frozen as we watched the power in the house surge before she suddenly quieted, the sound of the front door opening making everyone look toward it, Thaddeus walking and Imogen sobs in relief throwing herself at him and embracing him in a hug.

“Thank goodness you’re okay,” she says, and I could feel his shock as he hugged her back, he was wreck, his close all ruffled, yet he was unusually calm. Tobias and Theo get up and Thaddeus eyes snap to the little bundle in his father’s arms, his eyes tearing up at the sight of her.

“Where is Amara, where did you put her?” Theo asks worried and I realise she wasn’t with him, wasn’t in his arms anymore, what did he do with her body?

“Didn’t think you could kill me off that easily, Did ya?” Her voice says behind us making us all jump, Ryland’s head snapping in her direction before a sob leaves his lips and he charges at her. Scooping her up and squeezing her as he crushed her against his chest, relief flooding him at seeing her okay, his guilt moving to the back of his mind, still their but now overshadowed by his happiness.

“Amara?” Theo and Tobias say at the same time, before everyone was running at her. I stood shocked looking to Thaddeus who had a silly grin on his face, happiness radiating out him as they all hugged her.

“Now where is this niece of mine, hand her over” I hear Amara say before taking her from Tobias.

“Isn’t she the sweetest thing?” Amara coos.

“Hi baby“ she says kissing the top her little head, I rest my head on Thaddeus and he wraps his arm around my shoulders.

“You brought her back” Ryland says turning around looking at Thaddeus, he nods but says nothing, too busy watching his parents fuss over Amara and the baby. Ryland walks over to him and Thaddeus pecks him on the lips before hugging him.

“I never blamed you,” is all he says and Ryland nods before hugging him, resting his head on Thaddeus shoulder while Thaddeus rubbed his back.

Amara passes our daughter to Orion, we really needed to come up with a name for her besides baby, Tobias and Theo walk over hugging Thaddeus with tears in their eyes.

“Thank you,” Tobias says, squeezing him. I step out of their way moving toward Amara, she brings me into a hug squeezing the air form my lungs.

‘I am going to be the best aunty,” she tells me, and I nod.

“You’re the only aunty, hard to compare,” Thaddeus taunts her.

“Don’t forget our deal, brother,” she retorts, and he rolls his eyes.

  “What deal?” I ask confused.

“Doesn’t matter, here Ma,” Thaddeus says holding out his hand to her, Amara nudges me with her elbow motioning to Imogen and I watch as his mother approaches him and Thaddeus hands her something. Imogen gasps and I realise it’s a necklace.

“You’re really giving it up?” she asks, and I try to figure out what she is talking about.

“Yes, do what you want with it,” he says, and I look to Amara who has a huge grin on her face.
