Lately, Larissa had developed a liking for people to come and visit her. It was probably because she had to be confined to the hospital ward for a long time.
News of her accident and hospitalization had spread to the hotel staff. Many people came to visit her in the first two days, but all of them were stopped by Lewis at the door.
While her body needed rest, Larissa couldn't help feeling bored when she was all alone.
After serious consideration and thought by Gary and Lewis, Dylan was the only person they allowed in.
Dylan was like a ray of light for her and Larissa looked forward to his visits eagerly.
She greeted him energetically with a genuine smile on her face. "Hello!"
Her enthusiasm made Gary and Lewis feel discomfited. When she interacted with the two of them, she had never seemed that happy.
Secretly, Gary came to a decision that they would have to restrict Dylan's visits as well.
"Aren't you busy today?" Larissa gestured to Mrs. Griffin, and she immediately came over to raise the head of Larissa's bed higher.
It was fortunate that Larissa's spine in her lower back wasn't injured in that accident. After the initial pain subsided, she no longer had to lie flat all day. Occasionally, she could sit up on the bed and watch some television or chat with others.
"No, I'm not busy. I just closed a case, so I haven't had much going on recently." Dylan plopped down on the sofa casually, making himself at home.
Turning to Gary, he asked, "How about you, Mr. Logan? Don't you have work to handle?"
Dylan heard from Kevan that Gary was always in the hospital ward, attending to Larissa around the clock. It was because of this that Kevan could never find an opportunity to sneak in.
"At this time, nothing is more important than Lari." With a tender smile on his face, Gary looked fondly at Larissa. It was obvious that Larissa was the apple of his eye.
Although her cheeks were flushed with embarrassment, Larissa felt a warmth within her chest.
